Villa Maria enjoys the status of most awarded winery in New Zealand. The fruit benefits from warm days and cool nights. Planted on free-draining sandy silt loams, the site’s climate and soil structure results in an intensely flavoured wine. The nose is alluring with aromas of pear, cinnamon and light floral notes. It is an off dry style with good structure. Stone fruits on the palate and a pleasant citrus lift on the back. Perfect for a summer salad!
