What the winery says about the Newton Forrest 'Stoney Corner' 2009 . . . .

Our 2009 Stony Corner is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. The result: a soft generous wine with vibrant blue/red colour, ripe cherry, red currant and blackberry fruit flavours, hints of violets, savoury notes with sweet spicy oak. The palate is full, with excellent depth and richness, sweet chocolate mocha aromas intertwined with soft silky tannins. A wine that drinks well now; best decanted for 1-2 hours before enjoying with a rich meat dish. My favourite Moroccan rubbed lamb.
