"A handsomely packaged wine in a heavyweight bottle with a wax capsule and individual wooden box. The blend of varieties is unspecified grape varieties. Texturally the wine lives up to its name.It has a dense, Christmas cake-like mix of very ripe fruit flavours plus liquorice, chocolate and mixed spice. Sweet flavours and sweetness from a high-ish alcohol of 14.2% are balanced by fine tannins. The wine has extraordinary length. Very impressive Waiheke red."  Review by Bob Campbell.
